"Creativity is intelligence having fun"
Mr. Siva came to talk about creativity. He has helped many people achieve their entrepreneurial goal by igniting the creative spark in them. He discussed about how to formulate the business model in a creative way. He introduced the concept of design thinking. We came to know about the many ways in which we can use creative thinking to better the situation of an organisation.
He talked about the six thinking hats white, yellow, black, red, green and blue.
White Hat - for information known or needed. "The facts, just the facts."
Yellow Hat - symbolizes brightness and optimism. Under this hat you explore the positives and probe for value and benefit.
Black Hat - is judgment - why something may not work. Spot the difficulties and dangers; where things might go wrong. Probably the most powerful and useful of the Hats but a problem if overused.
Red Hat - signifies feelings, hunches and intuition. When using this hat you can express emotions and feelings and share fears, likes, dislikes, loves, and hates.
Green Hat - focuses on creativity; the possibilities, alternatives, and new ideas. It's an opportunity to express new concepts and new perceptions.
Blue Hat - used to manage the thinking process. It's the control mechanism that ensures the Six Thinking Hats guidelines are observed.
The session was very interesting, especially to the people interested in entrepreneurship. I learnt that any decision can be made effective by using this six hats process. This process reduces the errors. The efficiency can be increased by this process.
